Default Meth question

I have a 15 Z51 with a stage 2 Edelbrock E force makes just over 550whp on 93 octane. I'm looking to make a little more power and I'm looking at meth. I have a few questions.
1. I don't want tune the car to take full advantage of the meth. I'm more looking to use my current 93 tune and just use the meth for cooling. Ive seen a few c7 YouTube videos of guys picking up 40whp from just this. So would this work on my current tune?
2. Edelbrock says they don't like ppl to use meth with their blowers because it will strip a coating off the rotors. I'd assume the zo6s are also using eaton rotors and not having issues?

Edit... looks like the video i saw they also added a CAI.

Yea you're not going to pick up any power from just putting meth on the car and not tuning it. Meth adds a fuel source which allows you to throw more timing or boost at it. Put a smaller upper on that puppy and add the Alky kit and get it retuned. It'll make 650 easy.

I like the sound of that! I'm a little concerned about the meth pump failing and blowing up the engine.

do any of these meth kits have safeties, if the pump fails or run out of meth?

E85 sounds a lot better but need to upgrade fuel system.

Yup, your tuner could look at the IAT and if that IAT gets too warm in boost then kill timing. Ive had meth on my car for 4 years and the pump has never failed. It has leaked before, but never just flat out didn't come on.

E85 would be better but as you say you'd need a fuel system. Meth would get you where you want to be buddy.

^^^ what this guy is telling you to do here. No way I would put meth onto the car without a retune. Plus you could add the meth with no tune and the car would run worse also..

I would make sure to use 100% meth spraying through the blower. Spraying water has been what i have seen wear PD blowers. We use Alky kits with VP Racing M1 meth. Defiantly retune for the meth as mentioned.

Alky no question. Has way more features than the competition. Has the safety stuff you’re looking for.
