I will humbly <once again> disagree. That design is not a Corvette. it is a stand-alone model.
The C7 should still BE a Corvette. This picture ~has~ similar features as a Corvette on the front clip, but the rest of the vehicle is pure imagination.
mid-engine or not, I'd be willing to bet that the C7 will NOT look like THAT.
Maybe from Callaway, maybe from other "special model" shops, but NOT from GM.
<assuming GM is still a viable entity by then>

Great rendition, BUT,
Too radical in rear - does not spell corvette
Copy the entire front of TVR Sagaris which is an updated Copy of the vette.
Bug eyes gots to go, TVR knows design! If not TVR, then let Cadillac design team do the lights.

I see Ferrari 360 on the rear, Mercielago on the roof line and F40 on the hood. Cool rendition, but it ain't going to happen

Strictly PO.
You've seen that little yellow duck for kids bathtubs haven't you? That's what it looks like. A smilie face when combined w/the grille. i.e. on the wimpy side. The Z06 helps out the headlights but it needs a change for the better.
Having said that, I have no problem with a fixed after 40 years and it's still on the table for a buy.

Great ideas here, but the pictures just look out of proportion. I see some Caddy Cien in the roofline, and the obvious Corvette in the front, as well as the Ferrari in the rear. Problem is the size of the front end. If this is a mid engine car, the front is way to large, and I think that's what throws it off.
See the Cien here:
and the Z here:
Front just needs to be shrunk down a bit to make it look less bulky. Doesn't look like a mid engine car's nose.

IMHO, this should be what the new ZR-1 should/could look like.
Like the other guy said, you have a talent. You should copyright this design and send it to Greenwood or other fiberglass body kit makers. I'll bet even a company like SunCoast Race Cars may be interested. I would DEFINATELY, within budgetary cicumstances, buy this if it were available as a body kit.
That's my "opinion" and I'm sticking to it.

Thanks for all the feedback. I know this may be not be what "Corvette" is known for, but now-a-days consumers are always looking for that extra something that will set them apart from the rest.
I would love to see something like this in the future of the Corvette...maybe not as drastic, but close. I love my Corvette, would'nt trade for the world (maybe a Zo6 ), but if you had the chance to buy something like this for under 100k. Would'nt you?

Just Google "pontiac solstice production" and you'll see. They're outselling the competition Miata by over 2 to 1.
