[QUOTE=ZeeOSix;1565413500]Huh?, what do you mean "no drilled holes"? I see plenty of holes in those carbon brake discs.

I stand corrected! And to think that I took the photos too!

Yeah..I sorry GM sold the Mesa Desert Proving Grounds. I'm going to miss seeing the test mules around.
GM was moving the Proving Grounds to somewhere down in Mexico. I understand that deal fell through and they purchased some land for the new test site out near Yuma, AZ. ???
Anyway some real estate developers bought the existing Desert Proving Grounds and it will soon be homes .
I'm not sure of the validity of this but from hearsay, for EPA reasons, GM has some cleanup to do here on this site. I'm told there are an untold number of cars and stuff buried at this location and need to be cleaned up prior to the closing the deal with the developers.
I'd sure like to be on site to see what they might dig up down there
Again I'm not sure how true how all this is but I don't doubt it, interesting stuff.....

won't be homes that soon the real estate market is dead! i wonder if they could reverse the deal? that land has dropped 40% in value since the sale! GM could buy it back cheaper than they sold it!

Do those birds know what their pooping on? I mean, jeez!

What a fantastic car, I can't wait to see one myself. It's gorgeous in JSB, matches the calipers.

Nice shots,I'm sorry but the person driving that car should have never let it look like that. That car has water spots that will take buffing to get rid of.No excuse for any Vette to look like that. You can't tell me any GM dealer anywhere wouldn't be happy to detail that car at anytime.Just my thoughts.

Since these cars will be driven in many different areas of the country and at different altitudes ect., there is a wide variety of fuel types out there. There is a need to flush out the tanks from time to time. It's just one of many aspects of the testing process.
It's also used to flush out the tanks when you go into the buildings to check things out. GM doesn't allow the cars into almost all of the areas with gas in them. Safety, Safety, and Safety! We have a purge area in our building just for this very thing, Just thought that you would like to know more GM trivia.........

I hope thats not a factory hood. If it is it tacky. Its a sign of not being able to make a car look bad enough so "we need to show the engine through a transparent piece of glass" and then put a ZR1 emblem on the side

That is THE hood.

I sure would have loved to see an "extractor style" hood on the ZR1 instead.

Probably would have been some sort of an issue in adverse weather though, especially in other areas of the country???

But I can't imagine someone making this car a daily driver in rain, sleet or snow. That would be criminal!
