First Possible viewing of C7 or C7 Concept from GM!!!
The following pic below was captured on the set of "Transformers 2" which will be in theatres, July 2009. Because it takes over a year to produce and edit a movie, cars are sometimes viewed in movie sets even before they are debuted at the auto show circuit. For example, in "Matrix 2" the first gen CTS and updated Escalade were used in filming, months before they were shown to the public. By the time the movie came out, the new models were just hitting the auto show circuit. Now, back to the tie in with the C7. Take a look at this pic:
This vehicle, whatever it is, looks alot like a next gen vette, it has alot of styling cues from the C6 as well as the C2 and C3. Whatever it is, it's definitely designed by GM, because they are the sole sponsors of vehicles for the Transformers 2 movie. Knowing that this movie won't be seen till July 2009 and the C7 is to debut, supposedly in 2010/2011, it would make sense that we would see this around 2009, to be followed up by it's official debut at the Detroit Auto show in 2010, then go into production as a 2011 model.
It would be an unusual marketing move but, after seeing how having the Camaro concept in the first Transformers movie, generated so much buzz for the Camaro, debuting the C7 or a C7 concept in this movie would make financial sense.

Hmm - not sure what that might be.......
2nd pic doesn't show. 1st one is interesting but hard to tell what it is without seeing the front end and "grill" Kinda sorta looks like it might just be a "Dub City" version of the Camaro itself, just slammed and customized. The wheels - especially the rears - make it look that way to me........................but, it will be interesting to see! Thanks for the pic!!!

Might be a concept, but no way it could make it into production with tank-slit windows like that. The fender lines certainly make it out to be a potential next-gen Corvette (or Sky - ech!) but that's definitely a show-only chopped top.

The production Chevy Volt will be a 4 door sedan, there's no way that's the Chevy Volt. Yeah, the roof is pretty low but so was the concept Camaro's. The production Camaro's roof is a few inches taller but keeps the same proportions. Don't forget that GM has stated that the next Corvette will be lighter and have a better drag coefficient than previous vettes, in order to improve on gas mileage, without cutting back horsepower. Having a low slung, sleek Corvette accomplishes that.

i would agree that it def looks like a vette concept and def not a volt.
the only thing is that obv the car could change quite a bit between now and then.
still exciting - makes me wanna see transformers 2 even more now
