Default C7 Must have

One thing I hope makes the C7 are side mirrors that automatically angle down when you shift into reverse. I drove a BMW 750, and it had this feature, it is real handy when trying avoid scratching your wheels when parking.

I'd settle ro manual windows. Leave the power crap to the option list.

I would think that such a feature would be a freebie at this point -- the car's already got power mirrors tied to seat memory, just a matter of programming. If there's any GM car that does this today, I'd be surprised if C7 didn't do it.

As for hand-cranked windows, at this point they probably cost MORE.

IIRC, they weigh more. At least that was the case with the Elise.

May not a must have but how about cooled/ventilated seats? (delete heated seats?)

My wife's TL has this feature. It's nice but hasn't kept her from curbing her right front rim.

1996 Oldsmobile Aurora. Right side mirror angles down when shifted into reverse. I have a 97 and a 98 and they both do it too

I don't know about the older models, but the 07-08 Cadillacs have this.

I agree. My wife's GMC Envoy Denali has this feature. It is called "Curb View".

My C5 had the memory package and I used the third memory location (buttons 1 & 2 together) to store that mirror position. When backing out I pressed 1 & 2 together and then I got the "curb view" feature.

Had an 03 Izuzu Assender Limited (same as GMC Denli) it had the mirrors that move down to view the wheels when you put it in reverse. Drove me nuts so I programed it out.

Sounds like a nice and easily implemented feature that would really attract the daily driver crowd.

it would be nice, i know a lot of GM SUV's have it

my '04 escalade has it.

i would think it would be a matter of time that most cars have it standard....but then again you would think a cd player would be standard by now too on all cars.

Are you guys really hitting the curb that much? I've used my 07 as the DD for 1.5 years now and have no issues parking (in reverse of course).

it's not just the 7 series... my buddy has a 3 series that also has this feature..... using button 2 for this is a brilliant idea, can't believe I didn't think of that.
