Well, here is another rumor. I was at the LA Car Show Sunday at the GM area asking a rep about the 2011 corvette. The rep related he was from a dealership in Ohio that actually has three delaerships in the state. He was very nice and interesting to speak with. He told me I might think about waiting on the 2011 because GM is introducing the 2012 with the stingray styling split window. He did not call it a C7, but then again I did not specifically ask. He also said GM would have more rebates on the 2011 just like thet did on the 2010's because of the restyling.

Got the same general story from a salesman at a dealer in Sacramento last week. When I told him I wasn't a fan of split windows with poor visibility, he tried to tell me all about how poor rear visibility is in both Ferrari and Lambo, as if they did it intentionally. Rumors are a waste of time.

The 2011 Vette has been out for 3-4 months. the 2012 Vette will be out late next summer. There is no way the C7 or any split window coupe will be out that soon. These dealers are as clueless as most of us. As I mentioned once before, if everything goes as scheduled, the C7 will be a 2013 model coming out sometime in the last half of 2012.

My guess is that if it is a split window there will be a back up camera. Possibly no rear view mirror and in place a screen where the camera is constantly showing what is behind the car. Of course this is just more speculation not based on fact at all, lol.
