Those are not pictures of the C7. That is what Car & Driver thinks the C7 might look like.

I have my doubts on that rear end it's not the traditional 4 tail light configuration and I don't believe they will stray far from that. I do like the front end but again they have not addressed the front license plate problem, if in fact this is close to the new C7

Car and Driver are just guessing on what the C7 will look like . The magazine industry is hurting for sales, so putting pictures of a future generation is a way to sell magazines even if their way off. I don't believe them unless they have spy pics of the car. To me that looks like a C6 and that ugly transformer car put together . If that's any hint on what the C7 will look like I'll be keeping my C6 Z06.

I'm willing to bet that some of the design cues that are shown on that cover are correct. I remember when the mags gave us a "sneak peak" of the C5 and C6, and that got about 50% right.

I know what should be common sense to people posting "pictures" of the C7. GM is not going to give exclusive pictures to Car & Driver in 2011 of a car that is not going to be out until 2013. And shame on Car & Driver for being so misleading. That's just poor journalism.

yeah that drawing looks like they took a c6 and punched out of its shell.. i kind of like the back except the part that sticks out so far..
i doubt they'd stray away from some form of 4 individual tail lights, its part of what a corvette is defined as..
those rims look good though
honestly i bet GM has some trick up their sleeves where it will feature an optional turbo (or twin turbo) V6... I wouldnt be surprised. with all the MPG and whatnot hype going on now.. (i'd prefer a v8 obviously unless it was some super high tech engineering feat embodied in a v6), don't forget, the GTR is a V6

But if this is a 2013 model, production C7 Vettes could be rolling down the Bowling Green assembly line in 15 or 16 months. If thats the case, I figure that mules have already been built and tested. Someone knows what the car looks like. Maybe they have some inside information.
I said out in 2013. 2014MY. ...if
we are lucky.

That looks like the concept Vette GM had on display at the International Auto Show last December in San Diego. I took a few pictures of is but I'm not sure how to post them from my computer.

According to the article, the new powers to be at GM were not happy with the "wide" look of the C6 rear and want to narrow it down, hence the deviation from the quad lights.

I sure hope it isn't the near rear. They already struck out with the rear end of the Camaro (IMHO) so I'd hate to see them go two for two.
