Ferrari look will be disappointing to say the least. It will look good but for the wrong reasons... Let the Europeanizing of the Corvette continue.

I welcome a bold new look with some Ferrari features. If its going to be lighter than the C6 and 30hp more roughly I'd be stoked because thats a good .5 sec off a 1/4 mile time from the stock C6

Corvette is probably 10 years behind in exterior design and 20 years in interior quality and looks. If one drives more; then a weekend car; you care about these details. Has no DCT nor AWD option. No option for sound proofing nor premium worldclass audio sytem either. It only has a 2004 era audio headunit and patches for bluetooth and USB port. Software does not total present the iPhone, iPod, or Android smartphones. In other words; Chevrolet needs to address these in the new C7 for it to be a competitor in the world marketplace like China and EU.

The best looking Corvette is the C5. It's exotic looking as low and wide but also exotic looking with an aerodynamic nose. It just needed a shorter hood and nothing else.
The worst case for the C7 would be a unibody design with proud smiling suits standing in front of it. Also, the bold body would be the diversion.
The Corvette should be hydroformed steel girder frame, fiberglass bodywork, and V8 engine.
Speaking of the engine, it doesn't need a 3.0 twin turbo V6 or V8. The 32-valve 4.6 Northstar engine would be enough power and good enough fuel mileage. In fact the Lincoln LS of a few years ago had a Jaguar 32-valve 3.9 V8 engine. A V8 engine at the size of current V6 engines of about 3.7 is no problem.
Also, I would like to see a lean model Corvette. One without luxury appointments and without a special performance badge on it.

Finally you sound like a kid getting your shorts in a knot over Bluetooth, USB port, Android, iPhone and the other “stuff”. I, for one, don’t need any of that. I can make a cell ‘phone call when I need to, then I get off the damned thing and pay attention to my driving.
And the music and news stations I get on the radio suits my needs while driving a sports car. I have other choices when I need luxury driving. Finally, I prefer enjoying fine music at a concert or through my home audio system. I really don't need that in a car.
Just my opinion, of course.

Case in point.
Camaro 1LT has an MSRP around $25k. Out here you won't find a single one below $33k? How are they doing this without dealer markup?
Black 20" wheels...$5000
Ground Effects $3000,
Stripe kit $1100
Louver kit $800
blah blah blah
They figured out the best way to get above sticker is to "Pre-Modify" the cars going out.
Because anyone driving a $25,000 car would certainly run right out and buy $5000 wheels for it right?

The dealers haven't done anything with window stickers out here on Camaros...GM has made it perfectly legal for them to screw people AT MSRP.. Case in point. Camaro 1LT has an MSRP around $25k. Out here you won't find a single one below $33k? How are they doing this without dealer markup?

I got wind of a new GT car in '69 scheduled for a '70 introduction. I had no idea what it was but talked to a dealer in Pittsburgh and made a deal to buy a car at MSRP. Subsequently, the press got more details on the car, magazines started to ‘rave’ about the car, and potential buyers were starting to drool.
Many months later, I took delivery of my new Datsun 240Z and paid the contracted price of about $3,500 (MSRP) plus taxes and license. But ‘post press buzz’ buyers were being routinely charged $500 to $800 over sticker for their Zs for dealer added paint ‘protection’, upholstery ‘protection’, yada yada.
Fair? No, but the car was so hot that they got away with it.
And that chit continues today.

If they bring back pop ups/concealed lights in a new high tech, light weight way, I'm all for it. Something like eyes opening up like on the BMW gina concept. It will never happen but it was trait that was very unique to the Corvette for decades. Gated shifters, pop up lights, scissor doors, gills, strakes. None of this was ever necessary to sports cars but it was part of the styling, it gave the cars personality, screw functionality (to some extent).
Continued European flair on the Corvette admits defeat: It says Americans can't design if their life depended on it.
