Default Corvette Team - Please Be Sure C7 Dash Lights Dim Down

After driving a new 2011 Camaro, I have to make this request for the C7. Please be sure the dash lights can be dimmed down for dark road driving. There seems to be a trend among car manufacturers to light their dashes with LEDs, and a vacuum fluorescent display for the radio by GM. That's all well and good, but on most of them the dash won't dim down for rural/desert dark road driving, so your night vision is shot every time you scan the gauges. I can't believe GM blew this so badly on the Camaro, supposedly a performance car. BMW seems to have figured this out, so I am sure the Corvette team can.

Also please be sure the dash dims down evenly, including HVAC indicator lights, radio display. and navigation screen, so these distractions are minimized.

It's this level of refinement and attention to detail that make a car a "great" driver's car, rather than just a "good" one.

I wonder what they have to go through to unite those systems that probably have different technologies and come from different suppliers so that they behave as simply and predictably as a couple of incandescent bulbs and a potentiometer.

How about making them another color that's not pale vomit green?

They need to go back to the c4 orange. Subtle, looks good, easy to read, and doesn't blind you.

Can't you dim down the dash lights by twisting the interior light button by the driver's left knee? That's how I do it.
