Default 100 Years of Chevrolet

Sad that at the 100th year support for Corvettes and Chevrolet is out of the Phillipines. My Corvette with 45K miles on it spun a bearing on the main crank and I thought since the motor was so young that Chevrolet might support fixing the car. Sadly that was not the case. The 2012 C7 Corvette should have a longer warrantee. $5-$8K to fix a motor that never should've let go...I would think Chevrolet could absorb a cost like that to show they support thier products when a manufactured motor failed from a clearly mechanical failure. Good news is I'll have a 383 when it's done. Happy Holidays Everyone. -M

I take it that the year of your car is old enough to be out of the 5 year 100,000 mile power train warranty.

Yes, that's true and truth be told it seemed to have pulled in a lot of dust/fur from my garage and may have overheated causing the metal to expand and allowing the bearing to roll over to the other side...Good news is it will be a 383 when the shop is done so instead of paying 10K for a crate motor from the dealer for 5500 from a race shop I get a forged rotating assembly bore, larger radiator and faster car...be done for Christmas...I cannot wait! -Dave
