On the forum, many post their displeasure of the Corvette's interior. Many more post it is acceptable "as is". Can it be improved? Yep! But many ion this earth accept it for what it is: a decent sports car interior. FAR FAR from acceptable? In your opinion!

As to the Jag's reliability, you really are out of touch with reality. Whatever, I won't debate it with you.

I own a Supercharged XF that has only two issues in 22K miles of driving. One was the FOB not recognizing the car that needed to be re-programmed and the other was a check engine light that had to do with the gas cap. Both very minor issues. Another friend owns a XK that has been very reliable after four years of driving. My service guy tells me that they are pretty much trouble free, just random issues that all cars suffer. So I think I am pretty well in touch with reality.

I used to think the same thing about Jag's till I experienced them first hand. Besides they have a five year warranty which is the best warranty amongst luxury brands.

The warranty is great. However. the latest CR reliability report (two weeks ago) has Jag's right at the bottom. I guess that is similar to this forum: a few post about serious issues with their Corvette's while most of us have few, if any, issues with our cars.

What was this thread about again? Oh yeah, interiors. I prefer the Jag's interior over anything offered in a Corvette, sans the red color. Does this mean I have to drink tea and eat crumpets now while humming "God Save the Queen"?

If the interior of the C7 falls below expectations, maybe the Corvette should be moved under the Cadillac umbrella. Cadillac has been turning out world class products and must have a better design team than Chevy. Corvette is almost a brand in itself and moving from Chevy to Cadillac will not change its heritage.

Instead of robbing the parts bins of the Cruze/Cobalt to make Corvette interiors, you can rob the bins for the CTS/ STS, lol.

The Chevrolet Corvette has been around since 1953. If GM wants to hurt the image, calling it the Cadillac Corvette would accomplish that, IMHO.

GM can rob the parts bins from whatever brand they want to without messing with the name.

Well, Consumer Reports reports different results, with Jag near the bottom.

I have a loooooooong memory of the lack of Jag reliability. I guess people buy what they want and enjoy their ride.

I gotta agree about dirt and driving.

I know what my experience was, but I validated it this past Sat. during lunch with some fellow gear-heads; white interiors take TLC (elbow grease) every weekend or they wind up looking like hell.

Only you, the individual owner, can say if it is worth the effort. The consensus of my friends: no fricking way!

I had white leather/dark grey carpet and dash in my '95 Cutlass Supreme 'vert.

The white leather wasnt the problem but the white stitching was.. it got discolored very quickly and looked like crap then... As long as they use black stitching I'd take white seats again anytime... looks pimp!!

If Chevy wants to iomprove sales with the C7 on their dwindling customer base they need to compete. They have world leading performance, great exterior visual, now all they need is better quality in the interior. Seems an easy and not too expensive fix. I'd pay a 5 or 6K premium for an optional world class interior. All it would take is better materials.

Jaguar has been bought and sold and bought and sold and changed considerably over the last 15 years. Present day - I'd sooner trust the reliability of a Jag over a BMW.

Bucky, I remember an 8" round B&W picture in a four foot high two foot wide console with a few channels broadcasting a few hours a day, test pattern the rest of the time (1947 - 1948). I was a kid and watched 'Kukla, Fran and Ollie' and 'Howdy Doody'. My parents watched news shows like 'Meet the Press'. Somewhere in there, 'Milton Berle' and 'Ed Sullivan' came on. There were damned few TVs in the US back then.

We had the only TV in the neighborhood and folks would come over on Sunday afternoon and stood in our living room to watch.

CR rates the current BMW near the bottom of the heap with Jag, and (gasp) Porsche. Now I don't 'buy' all the rating hype, the same as I crack up about the 'poor' 'vette reliability posted by a few on here.

I just know I would never have a Jag in days gone by, and don't think I would have too much faith in one today. YMMV.

While I don't rely on either JD Power or CR for reliable auto reporting, at least JD POwer gets its information from consumers. CR doesn't.
