Default 11 year old thread closed - Not the front license plate bracket again!

I am afraid I don't see anywhere for the front license plate on the C7 spy shots that won't require the ugly bracket currently used on the C6.

Only for the states that require a front plate

Arizona doesn't require a front plate.

Going on 3 years now without a front plate in the Peoples Republic of Virginia and no problems.

There is never a graceful place to put a front plate. The plate itself attracts way to much attention. A car that I think almost pulls it off(when the plates not on) is the older mustangs. But look at an 03 gt, then look at an 03 cobra(since all year cobras got lucky and don't have spots for plates) and suddenly it's noticeable.

Sorry front plate state guys, I'd rather there be no spot designed into it.

Really, from the 'spy shots' posted, we still don't know what the C7 looks like, so we don't really know anything about front plate attachment points.

As to attaching a front plate, it's a favorite pissing point for some CF members.

There are tens of thousands of Corvettes with front plates mounted. And the Top Flight Reproduction plate is really unobtrusive, does not reduce airflow, and really is not noticeable when mounted. Here is a copy of a pic from their site.

I have mounted the front plate on my C6 and have yet to have anyone point at the front of my Corvette and laugh at it, or rag on me over it, etc. It is much ado over nothing.

That is anything but unobtrusive. Sorry.

My eyes immediately fixate on that front plate mount, and personally I find it the most detracting of all the options out there. Considering I have and will likely in the future run another Vararam, it's all the more a no-go for me.

Knock wood, I've never had a front plate on any car I've owned, statutes be damned, and I've never been tagged for it. I hope my luck continues. Front plate requirements are lame.

Thirty-eight states require a front plate, and with stop light cameras and speed cameras, states are getting progressively more motivated to issue tickets for no front plates. Ask the five members of our car club who all got such a $242 ticket within the last 18 months.

I have to agree. The front plate mount on the C6 is absolutely horrible.

True, but the public is getting more motivated to eliminate those cameras.

I'm in a (strict) front plate state and am still glad that the nose isn't permanently ruined just to make a spot for the plate.
I like the 'clean nose' look and will find other ways to display the plate.

You are lucky. I can't get onto the military base I work at w/o the front tag being displayed.

I have a fold under license plate bracket and some people get a thrill out of folding it under. If I don't notice it, the gate guards won't let me on the base!

Believe it or not here in California our public officials were actually the ones who voted to begin removing them. About time they did something right. All the do is cause more accidents.

WTF?? How in God's name can you post, with a straight face, that front plates cause more accidents? Or are you another CF troll just stirring the pot with a dumb post?

Oops. See you meant the ****ing cameras. Sorry. Jacki
