Yet another new c7 pic! From the rumor mill?

This is the kind of opinion that could be the death of the Corvette if listened to. The split lasted one year and a number of owners had it removed/"fixed". I'd never buy one simply because of vision concerns.

The vaunted split-window Corvette is highly valuable only because of its scarcity. It's really quite impractical, although like many, I like to look at it . . . from the outside. From the inside, you got problems.

All I can say is, they'd better come up with something more radical than this. If this is it, or anywhere near what the C7 will look like, they'd may as well shut the factory down. They need a drastic departure from the C6 look. Not that the C6 looks bad, but this shows little creativity. This looks like a mating between a Cadillac XLR and a C6.

And they really need a drastic departure?
Why?
How is it that other vehicle manufacturers get some sort of automatic "free pass" for doing the EXACT opposite of what so many of you are demanding here...yet GM/Chevrolet/Corvette (with a far LESS costly sports car to buy/own by the way) immediately gets ousted/banished for life if they dare try it?
The level of bias and contradiction around here sometimes is simply mindboggling.
Perhaps you need to do some styling and design consulting for these guys because they apparently got it all wrong and are doomed to totally fail with this brand new red car?:

When the new model comes out, most people will want to buy it. The c7 will be at the top of its game considering the tough competition. I believe the new exterior and interior car design will make the c6 look old. If that happens then the c7 was a sucess.

Think of it as a Bell Curve where low on the scale is the highest in, let's say, a "drool over" factor. The C7 will replace the C6 on the front end slope with each older model becoming a little less appreciated until it is old (rare) enough to again become increasingly more desirable. I remember when you could buy just about any C1 for about $1,000 in the mid 60's. And even now the the C3s are having a resurgence in popularity. Not to offend anyone, but it seems to me the C4s now rest at the top of the curve as the C5s were such an advancement in design. Just my take on it. All Corvettes are Great!

I think the C6 is beautiful. Whatever the C7 looks like, it won't change that. Of course, hat doesn't mean I won't like the C7 better! But, I have my 2010 C6 coupe. It's everything a sports car should be (fast, fun and beautiful) and at just under $50K, the interior measures up just fine.
