Any C7 leaks at the Bash?
I vaguely recall before the C6 release there was a tease. Like the headlight bucket being shown for a moment.
Anything happen this weekend?

Spoke with a worker from the factory and he reported that all cars with alloy frames would have the frame welded together at the assembly plant.
Other than that, nothing.

But does that mean that all Corvettes will now have an aluminum frame and will in turn will all be welded together at the plant...or only that the specific models (Z06/ZR1 etc.) that might have an aluminum will now be welded right at the plant?

Base Corvettes' hydroformed steel frames are built in the Bowling Green Assembly plant. The C6 Z06/ZR1 alloy frames are built in
Hopkinsville KY, 65 miles west of Bowling Green, and shipped in by truck. Dana Corporation worked with GM engineers to develop the process.
Originally the frames had a Dana badge near the hinge pillar. Then a couple years ago Dana sold the plant to Metalsa, a Mexican company.
Most of the workers remained and continue to build Z06/ZR1 frames there (at least until next winter... )
