This is a render that our designer "whipped up" on his way back home from SEMA last year.. Enjoy...

Well if the C7 is a C6, I guess.

Kudos to your designer. If GM takes an evolutionary approach to the C7 (a la Porsche's 911 approach), this would be a pretty cool redesign.

Personally I'm hoping for more of a revolutionary change (C1 to C2 to C3...), but I wonder if / when GM will think less risk is better?

Create a design with realistic ground clearance and tires, legal window tint, proportions suitable for ordinary humans, and with a chance of meeting basic crash standards.

In other words, is she still sexy without the heels, makeup, lingerie, and airbrush artist? Because that's what you actually live with.

I like it. Yes, there are elements that echo the C6, but it is fresh and exciting and would appeal to lots of younger folks and yes, also to us "older folks."

Looks awesome - I hope they offer gray with gray wheels and consider keeping the carbon metallic with black wheels, too - - very sinister & befitting a sleek new design!

I love the Competition Grey wheels as well (ordered my '06 with them specifically) as well as well as the more recent black wheels. But for 2013 the grey wheel option has been dropped and replaced by black wheels so I assume that will carry over into the 2014s possibly?

My 06 has the QX1 also. Not my cup of tea. Since only 302 people opted for them that year I am guessing that is why they were dropped from the lineup.

The 911 is not an evolutionary design approach, it's a keep the design exactly the same and change the internals approach. I'm pretty sure the design department at porsche is just an urban myth.

I don't think anybody who might actually buy a 911 is clamoring for dramatically different styling. An advantage to the 911's approach to styling is that nobody ever sees one and says, "what's that?"

Okay, maybe not nobody. But almost.

True, the 911 shape has become iconic. That's not to say I like it.

Was your designer inspired by the SS Vette car at SEMA last year?

Our 4D Cinema designer is from Australia, SEMA was his first trip to the states, he seen the need for what GM is more than likely dropping the ball on...

I don't see any resemblance at all between the SS Vette + 6" rear quarters and this. Not sure how you do either, since this rendering is very sleek, with zero flare in the fenders?

We have been quietly designing a Concept Supervette for the past 3 years, and I think the results are staggering.

This will be released very shortly...
