The halo is a Corvette signature, but it's a tired signature. I don't think they can do more than (literally) window dressing of the halo for C7, but that's probably enough. I suspect the Jalopnik representation of the pillar, side windows, and back glass is close to what we're going to get -- the pillar-covering window and the Hoffmeister kink distance it enough from Mustang, especially if Jalopnik is right about the lack of a hip bone. I still worry about the generic Mustangy flavor of the "all window" rectangular glass out back; OTOH, that and the long buttress C-pillar would probably do a good job of reducing the apparent mass of the rear end.

What's the aero impact of the Jalopnik C7 tumblehome compared to the C6? Might the buttresses and flat glass get rid of rear lift? That would be a good thing...

Now, they're grafting Mustang and Pacer DNA into the Corvette lineage?

All these humorous posts and pictures yet nobody has reposted the old Jalopnik illustrations which clearly show how it will be...

Now Jalopnik is the final word? I thought it was just speculative.

Bert, the three window look has been around for ages. The Ferrari Dino 246:

Ferrari 355

and Ferrari 360

come readily to mind. Aston, Jaguar, Maseratti and many others have used it and continue to use it.

The look isn't just from Mustang, and I like that look. About seven months to go.

Default New viper type?

Isn't that what the new viper has?

Have to see it, but I think it is a little silly...

All I can say is: if I won't be able to get my mountain bike into the trunk due to this or some other design change, I'll be quite upset with GM... I like my sports utility car as it is. Am I alone?

I don't think they'd mess with the awesome cargo volume and ease of loading/unloading that has become such a strong point in the C5/C6 coupe models. Maybe a slight square footage reduction here or there but I think the 'big enough for two golf bags' criteria will still remain for the C7.

Lol.
All I can say is; if there's not enough cargo space for xxxx GM is DOOMED! Seriously though, Just need a trunk big enough for a few bags of groceries or a roll-aboard and laptop bag when flying.
Lacking that, there's always a passenger seat..

Golf cart for golfing, truck for home depot runs, sports car for
But then again I live less than a mile from the golf course.

Do you load it from the rear, or do you need to come around to the side? The reachover on the side will be higher. I bet the opening will be narrower at the rear, too, but only enough to affect those trying to take home plywood.

Well gosh, I may be in the minority here, but when I need to go to Home Depot or Lowes, I don't think 'C6' . . . But, I do have another vehicle or two to use . . .
