Default C7 rear glass info

I talked to a friend of mine that works for a automotive glass company that makes the rear glass for corvettes. He said the C7 is going to be a three piece design.

Clearly they're going for a double-split window
I hear the middle one will have a screen and slide to either side.

This in line with what we have seen. One large rear glass and a rear quarter window on each side.

It's not going to be any fun loading that rear cargo area, unless they're doing something really clever with the side windows.

If three pieces are true, which is somewhat suggested by the covered hatch area with vents on the C7 test car video, there is three possible side window choices. Fixed and not operable, swing out for ventilation, and operable up and down. All could be designed keeping the B pillar as is in the C6 or even cover it on the leading edge.

A new look that could be designed not to cost too much and still leave a large access through the center in the back. The B pillar halo has been around too long like the pop ups IMO. Time for a change.

One of my all-time favorite GM cars! So the three piece window parts are already in the system. Will look great on the C7.

Your mission, Mr. Phelps, is to get a sketch or a photo of the rear window . . . .

The Ford GT has 2 rear glass panels - One on the clamshell and one that separates the driver from the engine. Mayyyyy beeeeee the C7 is a mid engine after all where the clamshell is a split window and the 3rd being the separation between the drivers cabin and the engine bay.

I was never a fan of the clown shoe rear, but the diffuser makes it look much better, I'm fairly certain we will see a rear diffuser on the c7 too.
