New digital dash, ugh!
I really hope the C7 doesn't follow the new digital dash designs of the 2 new Cadillacs. Quite frankly, I much prefer regular analog guages and buttons.

I dunno, I think a simple rectangle spot for the speedometer would work great(not that c5/c6 gauge clusters are bad at all). Put the tach front and center, plenty of ACCURATE gauges left and right, and thats about it. Thats one thing I like about BRZ/FR-S, your speed is displayed in the center of the gauge cluster, and a large tach surrounds it. Or the GTO gauge cluster has it almost perfect in my opinion.

Me too.
But I'm almost expecting to see at least some small form of digital/LED/LCD readouts alongside the more welcome analog units on the dash, many others have followed this pattern so it's likely the next Corvette will too.
I'm confident that they'll get it right though and not deliver a recreation of the 1984 Corvette's or Datsun 280ZX's gauge package/dashboard LOL.

You need not worry. There will be no instrumentation on/in the dash.
All relevant information that a dashboard normally contains will now be provided directly to your cerebral cortex via Bluetooth....along with a few advertisements here and there....

"At 33mpg I'll easily make it to Albuquerque. Hmm, I should try the new Ramada Inn... and then I could really go for a McRib. For some reason I've been thinking about one since Flagstaff..."

I, for one, welcome our new Bluetooth overlords.

I absolutely, positively HATE the sunken in individual gauges like that, the mustang, camaro, challenger, charger... the list is HUGE now. Those gauges are great looking and simplistic, but it would look ten times cleaner and be easier to read if it was a single face like c5/c6/gto/firebird/camaro.

I love my C5 instrument panel, and the slightly dressed-up C6 is even better, but a clean take on the examples I provided would also work for me.

While I do still prefer the current C5/C6 style gauge cluster layouts, I like it too.
My only concern is whether or not the electronics (tach signal, speedo etc.) of these new systems can properly 'keep up' as well once we modify the cars/make them much faster.

The present gauges are electronically driven, so the new ones should keep up just as well.
I wonder how well it'll work in different lighting conditions, and whether we'll notice any pixelation or motion artifacts.
But what I really wonder is what the HUD is going to look like...

I think the new Caddies' digital dashes could use nicer graphics and fonts, but overall I like it. The Aventador's by comparison seems almost over the top, too garish/gimicky. The LFA's has very good graphics and it's plenty fast enough to keep up with the engine (idle to 9000 rpm in 0.6s, apparently among the quickest-revving engines on the market). Check the first 20 seconds here:

Don't miss the lack of torque though .
