OK, some of you have come down pretty hard on the Jalopnik/Omega Camaro-like C7 rear end pics.

It's so easy to criticize, this time post pics of cars you think have a GREAT rear end.

This should be fun...

Cheers,
JB

Seeing as how the C7 has not been seen yet, it is impossible to pass judgement on any aspect of the car.

September is just around the corner. I'm sure we'll have some stool pigeons having some say about the Camaro influence or nay.
As far as what cars DO have a great rear look? Why, the C6, of course.
Best there ever was.

The problem is that the rear end of the car is made good or bad by the middle of the car. The Camaro rear end looks good on a Camaro, but ghastly on a Corvette. An Aventador rear end looks spectacular on an Aventador, but horrible on a Corvette. You just have to have one that fits the car. Square tail lights don't go with the Corvette's design currently. They could re-make it, but I don't see that happening; the Corvette has always been low, long and swoopy.

This is my fav and I wish I had one to put a new LS7 in with a good suspension and different steering wheel.

It's definitely from another time, but just look at those curves.

BlueOx, which do you prefer, the 58 or the 59/60? I used to think the chrome "luggage straps" were overdone, but I'm starting to reconsider, especially considering how it looks among its contemporaries.

And man is that a gorgeous blue.

Just a few off the top of my head: Aston Martin DBS, Ferrari 458, Lamborghini Aventador, Jaguar XKR, Mercedes-Benz SL55/SL63(not the new 2013 design), and of course Z06/ZR1. If the C7 looks anything like the Jalopnik renderings it certainly will not join that group.

A Corvette's rear end should be smooth and sexy. The camaro-esque C7 rear end has too many angles and does not seem to be an ideal fit for a Corvette.

If GM would incorporate all of its 2012 technology into that drop dead gorgeous body, I would be going to the nearest Chevy Dealer and putting a deposit on a Corvette tomorrow morning.

Why dont C6 exhaust pipes ever appear symmetric?
Always seems as though the inner two pipes are a tad bit higher

I like them all but prefer without the chrome 'straps'.
That color looks like LeMans Blue (maybe with a tad more pearl) to me. Same color as my '05.

Here we go again. It has been seen. The camo car matches the jalopy renderings, end of story.
