Default Ok, that Omega mold...upside down.

We haven't really talked about the rear brakelight/spoiler part of the Omega mold. Here is a pic I turned upside down to show where the top of the mold rises up and a second pic of how the hatch meets up with it...the green areas.

I did notice that when we first saw the spy pictures. I wonder how the the convertible will look with that feature.

The trunk lid would have to have a matching 'hump' like the hatch has.

The C6 vert trunk lid already has a hump at the back but this one will have to be a lot higher...at what would be the top of this trunk lid pic.

Damn, ya beat me to it LOL...I was just going to post that something about that Omega mold (when held right side up) sort of reminds me of something else and I just can't quite put my finger on it LOL :

1959, the pinnacle of space-age design. I must admit I too thought of ol' cat-eye and its quick undo when I saw the Omega mold.

I would say history might repeat, but these days car companies are far too stubborn about their designs.

No because the Viper always looks basically the same.

Gotta say I don't like that brake light bit rising up from the rest of the deck line. Not because of any aesthetic, artistic bias but because it is impractical when loading and unloading. Have you ever had to lever a heavy suitcase in and out of the hatch? I don't really want it banging against a thin strip of fiberglass (or scratching up something more sturdy) on its way in and out.

Well my C6 vert has a spoiler and I have always had to lift things up over it.

I almost don't want anything going on with the rear glass hatch because I like a cleaner look but something keeps coming up. When Ox blew up the open hatch pic I noticed a tab on the underside of the glass at the top of the hatch.

On the incredibly accurate Jal pics, the 3/4 view pic shows something in that area too and a little tab on top of the glass in another Jal pic.

KeekCAD is cut off right at this area

Yep.... but, at least they dont screw up a good thing (with some silly Transformers tail lights) and try to sell to a younger crowd that will never buy a Vette to begin with.

On another post about the brake light, that the spy photos looks just stuck there.
From the green area, the brake light looks like it will be different than spy photo
