Default How many have seen the real C7 to date?

Not camouflaged Probably not to many but those people are out there. How many really have seen the actual car??? I'm sure many suppliers just make that one part to spec. We have seen the front and rear end now. Who makes the fender?

Here's a little story....

I own many corvette models that are not full scale. I own a few GM licensed 2005 C6 models that where released when actual 2005 C6 launched. The copyright date on model is 2003. This model was made in China. So how many had seen the C6 model even if it was only just a scale version? Did China see the scale C6 before Americans did???? Is there anyone in China that has seen a C7 scale model? I'm not talking about the movie car at Walmart

This was brought up back on 9/18 too.

CRABBYJ response: This made me go look at my Mattel Hot Wheels '05 C6 I bought back in 2004 after the C6 was introduced. Interesting that on the bottom it is listed as licenced as 2003 Mattel, Inc China. Do you think they have the C7 Hot Wheels being made already in China??

Without camo...500 or so.
With camo in person...3000 or so.
With camo on the internet....20,000 or so.

I've personally been within 5 feet of a couple of them, but they were camouflaged. I've also followed several of them through twisty roads and watched how they handled and performed.

Those are the models I'm talking about

Hey, Maybe Hot Wheels helps GM design car's so both parties are interested in keeping them hid

Look at how many people where exposed to just the model and not the actual car before C6 release.

I don't know, Maybe GM is getting smart on the C7 launch and trying to just hide the real deal full scale version this round.

Maybe I should camo one of my C6 model's

watched how they handled and performed? a 1997 maxima could have went around corners like they were driving in front of you, if you were pacing them

I spoke to my neighbor who is a politician about how one should respond if they have seen the C7 but have only seen it in CAD, photo, and or camo form.

Camo form : yes, you have seen the real car , it was just covered
Photo : yes, you have seen the car, you saw it in a photograph
CAD : in an engineering sense, yes , you have seen a production ready plan from which the actual car will be created. In other words , yes.

Actual car: That depends on if you have seen the entire car or just a "section" of the car

You weren't there and you don't know how they were driving or what kind of road they were on, so I'll ignore your comment.

Mike , what do you think of the back of an Aventador ? How about the back of a Ferrari 458 with those "bug eye" tail lights and the three exhaust tips?

I have a good feeling if you photoshopped those tails on the back of the C7 everybody would be screaming hate .

My opinion , Those rear fascia's are totally bizarro but combined with the overall design they work quite well.

Although it could simplify things for me, I can't just focus in on a woman's derriere and not include the rest. WTF????

While I am pretty sure Csixdude is capable of defending himself (probably doesn't think your post is worth the effort and is possibly right) below is a quote from his message when he first spotted the C7's. Note that he was riding a motorcycle!

I might have just happened upon a C7 today while out riding my motorcycle in the mountains. I won't say where, but I can assure you the are the real deal. The car was pretty well covered up, but I still got some decent photos. I followed it for about 5 miles or more and so many of the shots are from the rear, but I also got some from the side. Michigan plates, and #49 painted on the rear bra covering the back end.

I'm wondering why a 2003 date on the bottom of C6 models says anything relevent about the date of knowledge re. the C6? Maybe they used the same base for the C6 as the C5. Maybe they put a 2003 date on a model made in 2005. Hard to believe that China had pics of the C6 that early. Then again there are all those BigFoot pics, Nessie shots, and oh yes, let's not forget those UFO photos. Ya, China knew fer sure

I was in China 2 weeks ago for 14 days on business. I saw a Ferrari F12, 458, and a ton of Porsches. Sadly, not a single C7.

I will be back in November and will keep my eye out and report back if I see anything!
