C7 side marker lights are stickers
After looking at some Hi Res Spy shots it is clear that the side marker lights are stickers on the test cars and there is no evidence that the real side markers are shaped like the Jalopnik renderings.
More questions to keep us tuned in until the big reveal.

Ima talking bouta a peelin stickers on the test cars not the production cars. If the test cars have real side markers like the Jalopnik drawings then where are they?

There are a few of the camo pics where you can see a bulb burning in those side markers, not sure if any of those in the link show it though. They look to be very similar to the side markers in the fender flares of my Mini... a single bulb lighting about 25% of the marker and the other 75% being reflector.

It looks like there is a peeling a reflective sticker that is shaped similar to the Jalopnik renderings and a functioning auto parts store marker light attached. Point being these do not look like the real deal. Furthermore in a couple of shots the camo is pulled open enough to see that you can't see evidence of any real lights.
Haha..just look at the round $20 buck tail lights they've fooled a bunch of folks with!

Perhaps GM is purposefully making some of the camoflauge to look like the Jalopnik renders. However, I think the render appear to have changed over time. Does anyone have the original renders from the day they were first posted?

We can only wonder! I can see putting the small illuminated lights on so the test cars are roadworthy since the camo covers where most normal marker lights are located (exc 350Z's) but putting the Jalopnik-like reflectors on too suggests we are being duped. Now there is one more twist. It is possible that white / black vinyl wrap is covering Jalopnik / 350Z like marker lights with Jalopnik like fake lights on top?? Who knows?? I hate to wish away the rest of this year but bring on the C7 reveal!

Or maybe they just don't have the lamps sourced and in production yet. Lamps seem to be one of the last items sourced for mass production, if the history of camo cars (particularly GMs) is any indication.

Even so.......if the front & rear bumper leaks are correct and they do show marker light mounting locations like the Jalopnik renderings, then where are the pockets for the marker lights on the test cars? It may be a double dupe. GM covers the Jalopnik like light mounting pockets with a vinyl wrap and then puts on Jalopnik like fake markers to make the test cars look as close to the real thing as they can.
