Is it me or is there A) no vents above the rear fender and B) different seats in there? Really really hard to tell with the glare, but I at least don't see the now familiar shape of those... sports seats shall we say, from the other cars.
I never doubted 2 seat options, but I really can't tell.

Hey, let's not let this key idea get lost in the discussion....
we have a C7 Corvette convertible the first year!!
I suspect it will be released at essentially the same time as the coupe. I will also say that I think they will put whatever big engine they put in the coupe will also go into the vert this time around.

Also, if the ten spoke wheel model is the high performance one, the one the Jalopnik saw, then that model will surprisingly have a convertible. interesting stuff.

the vents will be for the hi-po model, and the sport seats we previously seen are going to be optional, possibly only in the hi-po model.

I see a pointy nose, creases on the side view mirrors, sharp-edged tail framing, a sharp line on the right side of the camo over the edge of the hood (and I sure hope that's only in the fabric!). And not in this picture - but if we go back to the Jalopnik renders - creases that they drew in the hood.
I actually hope you are right. I love curves. I have been worrying that this may be the most angular Corvette to date! I have nightmares about the body panels looking like radar-scattering Stealth fighter skin.

I'm not being snarky, John. This isn't a nastygram. I'm honestly wondering what you see that I don't?

comeback ...Look below the door , at the rocker area. Can you see how
it small the "waist" of the car is? Also, look at the hood dipping way below the
tops of the fenders (C3) .
As far as the Omega video of the front fascia-- that was a CAD that severely accentuates those lines. In the flesh I am sure they will be subtle. GM has learned a tremendous amount with how to smooth strong lines with their Cadillac division.
GM has worked on and off with Lotus for many projects and if you look at the Lotus concept "Elite" I think you will see some similarities with the C7- Look at the curves of the panels- this is the refinement that we will see.

Also Cary, when you look at the Lotus Elite concept , look at many different pics of this car. Look at the similarities with the hatch- the "bat wings" , the buttresses along the back window. The gauge pod is exactly how keeks explained the C7 gauges. The way the rear fascia joins the rear quarter at the same angle.
The most important part is how that car has sharp lines but they are messaged to perfection . This is what I see when I see the C7.

Wow. You're right. Then again there's hints of 599, BRZ/FRS, etc. However, GM got a lot of stuff from Lotus when they owned them, they dont anymore. Not that they might not share ideas I guess. But the c7, thats a stretch.

Thanks McGirk for posting the pic of the Lotus Elite and I really believe that some of the design details of the C7 were aped from this car or it could be the other way around !!
Plus , this car has an "Air Bridge" on the hood like the Ferrari F12 ...
