Use photobucket.com or imgur.com to host them.

Email them to me and I'll host them. Photo bucket is another option.

The oil filler cap on the valve cover says DexOS 5w-30. Can't remember right now but don't the c6s have Mobil 1 right on them?

You are right...things have changed. (Mobil 1 still meets specs.)

Thanks to Bluewasp for posting my pics. The GM guys at the display were tight lipped. I asked a few questions and got nowhere so just took my pictures.

Oddly enough, the dry sump tank still had a Mobil 1 cap on it. That may have been something they just had laying around, though.

Mobil 1, meeting the GM Dexos motor oil spec, is still what is in the crankcase. Later model C6s went to the same oil filler cap.

A timing chain tensioner? Hmm - what will be the estimated life, recommended replacement interval, and replacement cost for that?

I will admit my ignorance here, but I am not familiar with those on push rod engines. i have seen them in OHC engines of course, but am wondering - is this a first on SBC engines? Do the LSx series engines have timing chain tensioners?
