Default well... I manipulated the pre-launch video..

to bring out any highlights in this one frame. I don't know what may have been revealed - if anything:

Looks like a c6 rear but that space between the quarter and the rear section is wider.

How's this one, Mike? I think the hatch lid just wasn't closed fully. The spoiler is clear. And the tail light is still unclear to me. I got the very first frame of that scene so you can see more to the left.

Nice job! It looks like there is some flare to the rear wheel wells?

Finally...someone else said it! My sentiments exactly. unfortunetly, the corvette design team has not yet figured out how to integrate a spoiler into the bodywork...so yes, we will get another stick on spoiler...

I think it makes sense because people want to have options about what spoiler they want. It's not that the Corvette team can't figure it out.

What about the trunk lid problem on two pics! Ha

I'll take my chances at 180 MPH and get the spoiler delete option

I can respect that position Ox but in my opinion, a $60,000 car, much less a $90,000 ZO6 or a $130k ZR1 should not have clip on spoiler. That's just my opinion...

You make it sound like a clip-on tie. Have you heard any problems with the spoilers for the Z06 or ZR1 or any other Corvette? I mean, if it had one you didn't like and wanted to change it, you wouldn't have an option, would you?

I think you are missing my point Ox. I am NOT saying the current spoilers are problematic in any way and I don't think they are ugly (although they could look better IMO). I just believe that a spoiler looks better when it is seamlessly incorporated into the rear bodywork (i.e. similar to viper, Aston Martin, most ferrari's etc).

Just as a clip on tie is a bit tacky...so is a stick on spoiler on a $90k+ sports car IMO.

The present c6 z06 spoiler I like and the zr1 has a cool spoiler too. I'm sure the c7 will look good too.

I would like to see a functional spoiler that gives max drag/ down force for stopping, tucks away when the car is off for a clean look, and has smart preset position for driving conditions. However I am a pilot so things popping up to providing stability/lift/drag is more of a life saver that a cute option in my book.

Oh yes, we have seen this car before then. Making quick-glimpse, murky videos does not re-reveal what has already been revealed.

Default Picture does appear to have the rear hatch cracked open

Blue Ox,
Great picture dude. Good work, Your picture in picture with the CAD is very revealing/confirming.

When I play golf (which is twice per week at least) I often leave my hatch cracked when I am cleaning up and getting ready to go home. That view of the hatch sticking up is something I see all the time and I am fairly confident that in this video the hatch was purposely left 'un-shut' to be less revealing to us. I recognized that bump immediately in the video. We will gain confirmation of this on 13 Jan.

Exactly!

If they wanted to provide options they could easily do different rear fascias.

Thanks and agree on the hatch. If I had shot it, the hatch would have been closed...it just looks tacky.

I agree that a molded-in spoiler would be more refined. Frankly, I would like to see a spoiler that operates something like this one. If Chrysler can do it, Corvette should be able to handle it.
