Well, they all seem to have four wheels and two seats. And, are front-engined, sports cars... beyond that not much looks very similar to me

We all know the C6 took design cues from the 2003 Viper.
I see A LOT of people talking about how the new c7 looks like the Ferrari F12 and 599... and we also hear a lot about it looking like the GTR.
It does look like the GTR from the front page of Car and Driver... however the side profile not as much.
I really think C&D hit the nail on the head in the side picture. The lines seem much more corvette like than the Jalopnik photo.. A little more wavy and softer if you will.
However, I edited this photo of the Viper to make it nearly the same size and color. Look at the striking similarities. I made this thread cause I really haven't heard that the C7 looks like the new Viper. I think it takes a lot of the new styling from the Viper (rear window, front clip, big grill opening, and the roof line). The last photo is a Ferrari F12 just to throw in

When the first C7 was revealed in January 2013, I immediately said out loud, "The side view of the C7 looks just like an F12 Berlinetta". But not giving anything to the Viper, the Viper looks like a C7 while the C7 resembles an F12.

Cruising
Considering that the F12 made it's public debut at the 2012 Geneva Motor Show and the C7 made it's debut less than a year later at the NAIAS in Detroit, there was hardly time for GM to copy anything from the F12. Designs are locked in much sooner than that leading up to production.
