Could this have been the inspiration for the rear lower valence treatment?
Somewhere in the back of my mind I've seen that rendering before...RK Sport body kit maybe?

I also have some vague memory of the "4 tailpipes in a rectangular box" look but I don't think it is from that. In my mind it seems to be some production vehicle, even if a relative exotic, or possibly some race car.

Other than the quad center exhuast, I'm not seeing the similarity. The size and shape of the diffusers are totally different. I imagine the "box" around the tips is chosen for aerodynamic reasons, not for style.

The C7 lower rear fascia/valence probably got most of its design from the wind tunnel/C6.R learnings.
