So, who's buying???
Title says it all, who's all in on the 2013 C7? There is so much talk about the love from certain people. Who is actually going to put the money down???
My guess? Not that many.

Because the only 2013 Corvettes available are C6s.
You of course meant 2014 and even if I were to fall in love with the final product (as we still haven't seen the 'exact' car just yet) I likely won't be buying one (during 2013 at least) as I'm still enjoying my C6 a little too much.
But I might be a player on a 2015 or 2016 model.

You're right, there will NOT EVEN BE ONE PERSON HERE buying a 2013 C7.

We'll see. I said I wasn't going to buy in the first year because of the usual 1st year issues.
But I think I'm just going to wait at least 6 months to see if anyone's having trouble with theirs. If not, I'll make my purchase in Jan of 2014. If so, I'll wait and see what the LT4 turns out like (and how much it costs of course).

Me but there is some things to find out first.
-What is the actual price with tax in my country.(lower the CO2, lower the tax)
-Can my local Chevrolet dealer do the service(they do for c6 now)
-And simply where and how can I get one. There is no official dealer now in Finland for Corvette.
Of course if car does not live to hype and is generally ****, it will change everything

The C6 in all it's manifestations, base or Z (or GS - wow, luvit), is a fantastic car, supercar really. What I see the C7 doing is fixing a ton of secondary issues: interior, seating, display, nav system, mileage, etc. ... and bringing the engineering up to even more advanced state of art. 'Refinement' will be the operative word, I expect; the performance is already there.
Of course, YMMV.

GM has a lot of work ahead to get production of the C7 up and running. The C6 will be built into February, C7 production line components can't be installed on the line. The plan has to come together or C7 production will be delayed. Will there be a 2014 Corvette, how many units? Will GM skip 2014 and start producing 2015's instead? It has happened before.

Thoughts: if you're gonna track the car, C6Z makes sense. But if it's a street car, you might think the new content and improvements matter a lot, especially given that you'll probably never in street driving explore the performance region between the base C7 and the C6Z.

I am 90% sure that I will buy the C7, just waiting on final confirmation on pricing and details.
It won't be the first year though. I will likely wait for the second year, so GM can work out all the issues and release the higher performance/wide body version like the Grand Sport.

I am in for production year two as a vert, hopefully, as a 2015 model year.

Have owned three first-year BMWs lately and all have been good from the start (the hi pressure fuel pump failure the only real exception and it fixed easily with a transplant under warrantee). If something does show up, more likely it will be in the category of trip-to-dealer and not some godawful disaster.
Yes this is new territory, but the car already exists in cyberspace and it's had a ton of road time. I'd relax.

Hard to say until I see one in person and even then it wont be for a few years. I wont pay a premium price to be the first one on the block to have one. My hope is it looks classy/elegant and not cartoonish in person. We will all know in a few weeks.

I'm in.
Let's just say I have a deposit with more than one dealer.
Anyone that doesn't see this as being the greatest vette ever has their head in the sand.
I will be selling my one owner '06 Z06 for $26,500 if you know of anyone in the market around Sept. 2013.
