I'm keeping my C6 Z06 at least until the C7 Z cars come out. Then, If I like them more than what I have, I'm sure I'll end up with one. I really like what I have and am willing to wait. I did not wait when the new C6 came out and regretted it.

Me too. But for different reasons.

For most of my life I drove Corvettes as daily drivers. Then about 15 years ago I started driving ordinary cars daily, keeping the Vettes for weekends and trips to races and car events.

I now realize I missed out on a lot of Corvette enjoyment. They're no fun parked in the garage.

My base C7 with small tires will not be comparable to my Z06 with its 427 and 19 and 20 Michelins. But I expect to enjoy it more. It should make an outstanding daily driver with all the technology, comfort options, nice interior, and an unheard combination of performance and gas mileage.

I've ordered new Corvettes based largely on exciting new styling. With the C7 there's far more to be excited about than just styling.

I am NOT trading my LPE ZR1 for a C7.
Although I know I will love the looks etc, too much of a power drop to go from 730hp down to whatever.
BUT, I probably will trade my wifes C6 vert for the C7 vert whenever it comes out. Until then, I will just have to suffer.

Seriously, OP, do you really expect owners of a higher performing Z Car to trade their Zs for a first year lower performing, possibly promblematical C7? I have a '10 GS. And, I am waiting until at least the third MY of C7 production before I buy.

Im keeping my Z. Im sure the C7 will be all GM has promised but I'll always feel that the Z was designed to be a race car right from the start. First time I saw the Z, pictured next to the new C6R, I knew I had to have one. Even though I havnt seen an actual C7 pic yet, the renderings dont look as sinister to me as a Z06. I like the C7, rear and all, and may buy a vert eventually, but I will always have the beloved Z parked in bay #1.

I'm planning on getting a C7 as quick as I can and install an LS9 before I even drive it!

IF pictures are close to truth, IF weight is 10% less, and HP is 450+, and DSG, i am ALL over it. doesn't care if Z is coming in 2015, then i trade up

No, keeping my Z06. Won't get a C7 until they release a Z06 or something more powerful than the standard Vette. So I will enjoy my Z for another four years or more. Hope the C7 is bada**.

I don't see a reason to downgrade. However when the z variant comes out I will give it a hard look for sure.

I feel like a base C7 will be a downgrade from a C6 Z06...

I'm looking forward to the improvements for C7 and hope she's a looker.

I won't have any interest in buying one until they make one that can outrun either of the two I have - - don't know when the higher perf model is supposed to debut, but not a buyer before then. Once they do that, if they do that, they'll have my attention.

In the meantime, I'll enjoy learning about them, seeing them etc., and rooting for the home team.

Keeping the 09 ZR1 regardless... Depending upon how the C7 moves me, most likely will await the C7 Z06 since the C7 ZR1 does not look like it is in the cards anytime soon if ever.

Been very tempted by the possibility of a C7, but since my ride is updated to Z06 numbers, clutch, suspension, electronics....not much need to obligate myself with more debt. Can use the extra dough on future upgrades to an already awesome Vette.

Maybe in a few years I'll be able to buy a used C7.....sure there will be plenty for sale after the first owners take the hit.

I want to wait and see the C7 in person but I'm preparing to sell my C4 Collectors Edition in case. In any event I'm keeping my C6Z.
