C7 Unveiling coverage from Detroit 1.13.13

Front view and view from front down the sides look pretty good - a little heavy on the plastic though.
Too bad about the rest - I was hoping the entire design would lean more towards a Ferrari look rather than a GTR/Camaro look (sides = GTR, rear end = Camaro). This Transformers design will always bring to mind the label "Corvaro".
The C7 design would have been an excellent next generation of the Camaro, but not the Corvette - besides, now it looks too much like a toy car with all the extra plastic, louvers, and lines.
I believe about half the people like the new design and half don't - which in my mind is a fail because a great design should appeal to the vast majority of people.

Looking forward to seeing it in person at a dealer or Corvette show near me. I won't confuse it with any other Corvette there . Lots of changes alright! . I can't wait to see the new Corvette featured head to head with some of the other world class sports cars! Meanwhile, I'll keep plodding along in the old C-1.

It has gone Europeon on us. Okay for some. I think it is what most expected. I am glad I didn't wait. This is probably much more expensive too.
It will certainly cost more to repair. I think they were trying to compete with the Exotic market. There is no mention of a ZO or ZR type model.
This will be the end of an erra.
I think the C6's sitting on the lot will not see as big of discounts as we currently see. Get a Convertible 427 while they last. About one week.
Same with ZO's and ZR's.
Just my take.

Are Camaro sales so bad that they had to raid the overstocked rear light parts bin?
That windshield wiper needs to get tucked under the hood too.

Beautiful redesign, can't wait to see them in the flesh. The intangibles may make previous generations feel obsolete and outdated. Won't be able to know what the C7 really is like until its released to the public. Hopefully, they will mminimize first year teething issues.
That rear-end looks like a money maker for aftermarket vendors who can execute a proper diffuser for the funky bottom-half.

Wasn't too keen on the C6 at first and now like them. Never liked the C5. I like the C7 and considering it's the base model they revealed, there's more to come. It may grow on some.

I am pleased overall with the new look. The tail lights/rear bumper will have to grow on me but all in all they did an impressive job. I buy/drive new corvettes for the way they perform anyhow. I cant wait to see some real numbers on performance/handling.
