my question is why is gm still making the c6 model, they are not being sold? why show a car in January only to sale in September? does it really take six months to change a factory?
really the new vette should be hitting the dealers in may. that would really get people buying for the summer not winter. $75k just to put in storage for the winter, really?

I see many people waiting for a truely better engine (forged internals, stronger deck and better flowing heads) and a fixed rear end that doesn't look like the trend of the month.

I am pretty certatin when I go out side and wax my sleek smooth body pannels they are FIBERGLASS COMPOSITES, and when I get to the flimsy soft flexible nose and bumper that just don't take on the same luser (some how lacking) that those parts are PLASTIC.
The c7s big flashy modern *** design looks cheap and is cheap. I see too mch plastic on the car.

Too much Camaro tail....
Perhaps the 2014 Corvette's with the Camaro tail will be a one off thing like the first Stingray, the 1963's. You know, with the split back window that everybody hated in 1963, and everyone pays a princely sum for today. Maybe GM will drop it after 2014 and go back to round tail lights, and everyone will want a 2014 Stingray in 2025 to 2030 or so.

A number of contributors helped drive down the C5's weight, including the use of SMC body panels that had a higher content of plastic than ever before. The material, which is basically the same as used in the C6, was composed of about 40 percent resin--polyester, vinyl ester, styrene, or a blend of all three--33 percent calcium-carbonate filler, 20 percent chopped fiberglass, and the remaining 7 percent resins and hardeners that improve the out-of-mold surface finish.

Love that rear view. Maybe they will adopt that in 2015!
I prefer the original design of the Ferrari 612 GTO ...
