f12 berlinetta copy
lookes like they copied the exterior of the ferrari f12 berlinetta that replaced early in 2012 the 599....plagerism is flattery I suppose but that car has a 6.2 liter 700 hp v12 dohc engine...and does 211 mph.
This one has a 450 hp 2 v. pushrod with some fool shutting cylinders off and hoping it won't effect the engine over time.
I can get used to the exterior but it looks like a copy of the F12 turned into a camaro in the back. Not very revolutionary to me.
If given one, I 'd get used to it. If not, I'll keep what I have thanks.

I love metal bumpers! I will buy a Z version of the c7 if I live long enough. I'm one of those old guys some of you say GM is trying to target away from!! Sure glad I bought. 13 Z though. My wife likes it so well she pays the Viagra bill as long as I let her drive it! Old guys rock!

Funny how different perspectives are because i love the rear end... the front end is what i dont like as much... looks too much like a c6 with a hood vent. the rear end is one of the best rear ends on a car ive ever seen... an opinion i previously held for the 5th gen camaros, but this one ups the camaro. (I thought across the board the 5th gen camaro was a MUCH better looking car than the C6 vette. The C5 vette was a much better looking car than the 4th gen camaro though!)

Found a few more pictures from Sunday night:
1. Scene at Russel Industrial Center prior to the reveal.
2. Ed Welburn, GM VP for Global Design; don't know who the others are.
3. Guy in the press gallery. Have seen this in old photos, but never in person.
4. Tadge Juechter, Corvette chief engineer; with Mark Reuss, President of GM North America; and, presumably, Mrs. Juechter.
5. Tadge Juechter and wife(?)

Think this is the last of my pictures from the Sunday night reveal in Detroit:

It will never end. People always have to complain about something and nitpick at every detail. I guarantee that if the design of the rear end was different and 'accepted by everyone,' then this thread would be blowing up with hate on another aspect of the car.
Can the majority of C6 owners in here say that they absolutely 100% loved the car and everything about it the second it was unveiled? Probably not, but look how many of them bought one anyways.
I think overall, most people really like the design of the car. The problem is, in our society, people do not react well to change. This car is different, but GM HAD to do something different and fresh to keep this car alive and appeal to a larger market.

I see a nice cohesive design between the front and rear lights. The same light treatment (LEDs) are the same front and back....these little details make me like the Stingray even more.
People won't mistake this for anything but a NEW Corvette...coming or going.
