I am not a fan of the dash on the passenger side, but from all the hype about a new dash, I was expecting more illuminated electronics. It still looked somewhat plain. I need a better view, they didn't linger very much when they showed the interior.

A swing and a miss but the catcher didn't catch the ball and it rolled back to the stands and the catcher threw wild to first, and the right fielder let the ball go through his legs and missed the cutoff man and the batter scored. Same result as a home run which is what I think GM did with the C7.

Rev match? may make manual trannies easier for the modern folk to downshift I guess?
love that they addressed the seats, giving options for those who have wanted that feature for a while. love that they uncluttered it a bit, by adding a second button in the select ride feature seeminbgly to configure the nannies?

It reminds me of a Japanese car with all the vents and surface detailing. The basic shape looks good, and the back is better than I expected. But I think the car will only truly look good in black to make all the vents and stuff blend in.
The interior is fantastic though.

i agree with both sides of the coin with what you guys are saying. My first thought was beautiful, but that might be because of the setting and the fact that they unveiled it in the best color ever, a bright super shiny red!!! Like said by others, i'll wait to see it in person...

Can people stop spouting off the crudest of associations...lol...wtf!
Do I see a little Triumph Spitfire pedigree in those exhaust tips? Catering to the UK?!?
Do I see a little Ford Mustang in that windshield angle!? Selling out?!
Do I see a little mid 80's escort in that black hue they used around the gauge cluster?!
Good lord...

All the black plasticky looking vents make it look cheap. I like the interior except for that huge steering wheel! What's up with the two protrusions on the front bumper and the black mascara on the tail lights? I am liking my C6Z much better for now, but might love it in person, who knows?

********...I like it. Getting one as soon as the bugs in the first couple runs get worked out.

Stu, you're right... Chevy does need similarities between models of vehicles... however, the Corvette is not one of them. Corvettes are known for their unique design and raw performance. I personally think Chevy could have made the rear half of the car rounder and some form of circle taillights. Overall I think it was a decent release.... but is that what we want? A decent release for an iconic car? Not good enough in my opinion. But hey, maybe it will suffice for the mass populace who don't own or plan on buying corvettes.

Thing is fugly. The vents above the rear wheels looks wrong. Also, the black (or dark gray) roof looks cheap. The hood vent should be color matched. Too plastic looking. I don't know, maybe I just need to see it in person.
Bet it drives nice...
