was waiting for someone to say something about the rear side windows.
Huge Blind spots
I thought it was going to be all glass, but with over 50% of the actual glass area blocked off, there's really little more than a peep hole to see out of.
And considering the view from the drivers seat will be at an angle to the window, makes it even harder to see out of it.
Also with the back window being flat, the sides of the hatch are solid which creates an even bigger blind area.

was thinking about this too. I think the structure is part of what makes this car so much stiffer, but I need to get used to the pillars and hope it has a backup cam.
in the autoweek vid the guy says this is a heritage styling decision.. I can't find a vette with that kind of window/pillar treatment.

Blind spot monitoring will probably be standard, but this is the same issue that plagues the CTS coupe and the Camaro...only this looks like it'll be worse. There is no way your going to see anything out of there.

Yes. I drive the Los Angeles freeways and my garage faces a busy street. I refuse to purchase cars with limited rear visibility. Guess I could get the convertible and keep the top down, lol.

Now driving 2012 camaro vert and the rear view isn't bad, it's the A pillars that kill. Doesn't appear that will be an issue with the C7.
Anyway, going to get one once they are available.

No need to turn the head if you look in all the mirrors frequently enough. Taking you eyes off the road in front for very long is especially hazardous in heavy traffic.
Knowing what is around you is just as important as what is in front.
Set up the mirrors properly and trust them. Gotta keep looking though vehicle positions and speed change all the time.
Probably the biggest fault I saw when driving for a living was inattentive drivers towards their surroundings...clueless most drivers.
People will turn to look and pull the steering wheel or fixate on making the lane change and speed to much time turned looking back.
Very easy thing is to be up to speed with your environment while going down the road then you know when to make a lane change depending on what is available at the time.
Oh that right most do not think ahead enough and need to change at the last minute so they need to turn their heads to be sure to squeeze in....how stupid of me to forget this.
