Default Brownstone versus Kalahari Interior Colors

From the 2014 web site, doesn't it seem like the names ought to be reversed? Googled pictures of Kalahari and it sure looks like what Chevy is calling Brownstone??

Brownstone (3LT Only):

Kalahari (only available 2LT/3LT):

I would not be surprised if someone in marketing got these mixed up.

Here is a photo of the Kalahari Desert off the web:

Here is what Chevy is calling Brownstone, I bet these have been mis-named on their web site?

I too thought they seemed mixed up. Whatever the dark brown is actually called, I'm going with it and Lime Rock Green. With the dash trim option.

Kalahari is Hawaiian for dead squid. It should be OK the way it is.

I think they have them backwards as well. Hopefully the real Kalahari color is available without getting the 3LT package.

White exterior with this would look hot.

So just an observation...it appears the grand touring and competition seats have similar bolster support. Is the only difference the provision for a harness through the headrest?

It is sad that competition seat seems to have exactly the same side low side support on "*** area".

Right...after looking at that I'm wondering if it's worth it over the GT seats. It looks like it's about the same support in either. Was hoping the competition seats would be serious upgrades over GT. Has anyone sat in them?

Both look better than current seats though

you are right. It is a gimmick. The comp seats and the grand touring seat also seem to have very similar upper side supports. The only difference is at the very top where the comp seat has large openings for racing syle harness.
Overall it is a vast improvement however, at least the material is a huge upgrade...

If there isn't some place to easily attach a harness bar behind, and a sub strap through the bottom cushion, ya gotta wonder what the advantage of the competition seat will be.

Competition seats will make you go faster because your wallet will be lighter.

Yes sir...exactly. Maybe an advantage would be weight..perhaps the back of the seat is carbon fiber similar to the comp seats found in porsche GT2/3 RS...doubtful, especially in the base vette. Maybe in the Z...
