Default GM designers C7 inspiration?

Every time I look at the front end of the car, I can't help but think there are 3 generation of corvettes integrated into the front end of this C7 design.

It has the 1953 Corvette grill, and the pointed edge of the front end reminds me of the Mako Shark concept, with the fender lines of the C3 Corvette. Every time I look at the C7's front end just reminds me of sharks. I am sure if someone would paint brush a shark unto to it this car will look mean.

It has been said that car designers can get their inspiration by buildings, animals, or simply by everyday objects that we take for granted and some how incorporate it into the car design. For some reason it seems someone at GM looked at the shark body, and incorporated into the C7 front end.

OK.. I was thinking this was going to be another one of "those threads".... Given that I love sharks and especially the great white, I'll give you some credit for thinking outside the box!

Both look very mean!

In addition, I already revealed the C7 inspiration that GM knocked off of directly....very clearly...you can see the similarities

Funny, when RC000E started his Airbus thread this morning, I was thinking Stealth Fighter myself.

Well, its true fact that most of these designers surround themselves with many "current" objects and pictures...

clothing fashion
shoes
mens watches
street bikes
airplanes (maybe stealth or vintage)
organic objects (something Lexus has pulled a lot from)

They can cue color schemes, stitching, aero...all kinds of things from it.

Just crazy that they definitely used that airbus....definitely no stealth....
