Default My shots of the C7 from Barrett Jackson

The C7 looks great in person. Ed Welburn was there today answering questions and talking to the crowd. I asked him if this was a optioned car or not. He said this is a "base" Corvette with the exception of the black wheels. Very cool!

Wait so the carbon/aluminum accented interior, along with a few color matching details, full nav are all base model stuffs? I knew it was a base model but thought it was optioned out in the interior, plus the seats are actually the Competition seats and those are def not base.

Something doesn't add up here. According to the sales guide, the upper interior trim can only be gotten with the 3LT package. The carbon fiber dash and roof panel are options. The black wheels are only available with the Z51 package, which this car has, based on the dry sump oil system seen in the engine bay picks in other threads.

Definitely not a base car.

Just telling you what Ed said. Also, couldn't get closer than my shots show to see the interior, so maybe those aren't in there. Who knows...

Thanks for those pics. Is that the one that will be auctioned?

Thanks for the pics but Ed is mistaken.............. he is probably thinking (representing) base model Corvette as in NOT a Z06 or ZR1. Despite the begging and invention (and self induced fantasy) of many C6 owners...the Z51 option is just that..and option and not a model in and of itself.

THANKS FOR TAKING AND POSTING THE PICS! Liking it...but still not the rear. I just see too much Camaro, Coupe, Sedan back there. NO car carried anything like the C5 and C6 rearend....this one just touches on too many other cars. But I assume seeing it in person is different then flat 2D pics.

I hear you and I was very explicit with my question. Now having said that he either didn't care or didn't know all the details. I doubt that, and am surprise he would misrepresent. Who knows...

Thanks for posting the pictures. The car looks super sexy out in the sunlight. After seeing it in person what are your thoughts? Do the pictures do it justice, or does it look even better in persson?

I thought they were auctioning the #0001 production car that won't even be made until early summer??? This is a pre production prototype and I don't think it's for sale ever!!

It follows lot# 5041, so we have about 30 more cars to go.

Liked it more in person. I think it's hard to catch some of the design elements in pictures. I really like it now that I have seen it.

Yeah, this car car has the optional exposed carbon fiber roof, competition seats, Z51 pkg, black wheels, red calipers and probably 3LT with nav and more. Def not a 1LT Base!

You're right....the auction is for VIN #0001 and won't be built till July.
The red one at the auction is one of 2 prototype C7's that will be shown at various auto shows and events.

If the high end interior comes with the Carbon.. what does the low end get? Plastic?

That's a 65k car easy. Tough choice between that and a 13' 427 vert' that can be had for 63k from MacMulkin.

Car looks fantastic
My rear shot, as best as I could after it sold. Mob scene all around it.
I never got to see it parked before it sold
