New security system
Just thinking out loud.
I wonder what changes are in store for a newer up to date security system. One that will actually perform security.
And as long as I'm on the subject. How much of a change if any will we see in the FOBS and how they perform in regards to being locked in the car etc. Also looks and function.

I was wondering about this also. The sales guide indicates that the 2LT and 3LT trim levels include an "Advanced Theft-Deterrent System." What is it, and what is the 1LT missing?

GM has always been a leader in innovative new features. I did some digging on the new security system for the C7 and believe this is the way they will be going. It was supposed to be an option on the C6 but never made it to production.

I fixed the link. Weird, the video shows up on my iphone when using the youtube option from CF. Oh well, it works without the youtube link brackets.
Alternate optional features.
In all seriousness, Vettes are pretty hard to steal unlike a typical key entry/key start car. Hell, my 2007 Yukon XL is so easy to get into it's scary. A big screw driver in the door lock and you can easily break the lock out of the door then use a needle nose pliars to lift the door lock. Takes all of 30 seconds to do. I had to fix my door once because of that and replace my headunit. With the vettes solenoid door locks and the FOB to turn it on, the only thing they really need is a motion and glass break alarm. With the new electronic eBrake, I don't think you would even be able to tow the car without the FOB.
