I see. The problem is that the Corvette one is not fully round?

That was pretty funny! I couldn't figure out the point of this thread but your observation must be correct.

I wonder if his point is that the Maserati uses 8 bolts to hold it in place vs the Corvettes single bolt. Or is it that the C7's is dampened vs the non dampened balancer on the Masarati.

Quite frankly, I think Masarati decided to make their balancer double as a sharpening stone so that when your knifes are dull, you have a place to sharpen them. At least that way when you bring a knife to a gun fight, you can bring a sharp knife!

You are correct . However it is only not fully round on one side so it should still work half of the time, sort of like the LS2 balancers.

I was suggesting the amount of bolts the Maserati uses to hold it on. Do you think the Corvette's has been improved to keep it from wobbling?

On both cars you have a "little shock" left of balancer. Is that just a cover that covers the spring for the belt tensioner, or some kind of active shock, to reduce vibrations, or help hold down the motor under load? active motor mount? I don't even know if they make such a thing, so I claim the rights to active motor mounts. What; welding a chain from the motor to the frame is not how everyone does it?

The wobble is not a function of the bolt, it's a function of the two piece design with rubber in the middle. Maserati looks like is using a fluid design.

However the single giant bolt and press fit is a major pain in the ***, as I found out lately. Unfortunately, the multi-bolt design wouldn't fit on the LS/LT crank snout, as it has to be slim to fit through the gerotor oil pump.

As for the tensioners, they're just tensioners.
