West Coast debut of the C7 at the Petersen Museum
I just heard and have confirmation that there will be a West Coast debut of the C7 at the 60th Anniversary of the Corvette at the Petersen Museum March 1st-2nd 2013. Go to corvetteday.org or petersen.org for more information about the event. This is news as of today so the Petersen website won't have any info on the C7 but trust me it will be there.

We'll that means a drive down 5... and and an excuse to stay at the MDR beach retreat usually reserved for the summer time.
Thanks for the info.....

I emailed them directly asking if the C7 will be there and the museum rep said they have not yet been able to secure it yet. They are hoping that someone will pay for the shipping and that a C7 is available to be shipped out.
So it's not yet confirmed, unless you heard something after I asked (Thursday).

Many thanks to the event Chairman for working to bring this C7 appearance about.
A number of SoCal folks have been pushing the Petersen Museum and GM at different levels for the last few weeks with the message that it would be a huge mistake to leave the 60th Gala at the Petersen Museum high and dry.
For those that haven't yet purchased tickets for the Gala on March 1st, the event is limited to 350 attendees at $125 per person. My guess is that any remaining tickets will literally fly out the door once the C7 appearance is announced.
The Corvette Day Car Show is the next day on March 2nd. Participation in the car show is limited to 500 parking spots. Parking around the Petersen is always tough for a big event, so paying a few bucks to be in the car show is not a bad idea and it includes admittance to the special historic Corvette display events and the Petersen Museum for two people. Events at The Petersen support a variety of charities.
For those who will be attending on the March 2nd but not participating in the actual 500 Corvette car show which, again, guarantees parking inside the Petersen building parking lot, the Petersen folks have been considering trying to secure parking in nearby facilities/lots to make things easier for all those attending. Hopefully they will be able to make those arrangements.
This will be a very significant event in SoCal for all Corvette lovers.

do we have to purchase 125$gala tickets to see the c7? or can we purchase 25$ tickets for restoration seminar? or can we just enter the museum for 11$ general admission? it mentions it will be at display for Saturdays festivals..
