So I guess the Stingray superbowl stunt fell through?

Why Chevy thinks this is a good idea for them to give away a free car to multi-millionaire sports figures and expect anyone in the stands to reflect that is what they remember from that days event is beyond me.

But I doubt it.
I wonder if the delay due to the power outage played any role in this.

Very good point! I also agree with others that the power outtage and delay may have impacted programming just s bit. Whatever the case, it was an marketing opportunity lost.

Why not start a contest for fans of the teams represented in the game? Perhaps limit it to those in attendance at the game so that the winner is actually present and then have the game MVP award the car to the winner. It would be cool to see someone actually excited about winning the car. Star NFL players are probably more interested in the new $450K Lambo...

I really believe that the power outage really had a lot to do with it. The complete celebration on the stand with the trophy was very short compared to years past. The MVP award was almost like an "Oh and by the way you won the MVP honor"..
I agree with the giving a Corvette away to these pro athletes. I wonder if they even care and how long to they even keep the car. I means, lets face it a fully loaded 2014 Z51 may cost somewhere in the range of $70-$80K. That is not something they most likely would get all excited about.

Obviously they don't do it for the benefit of the athlete. For it to have not gotten ANY TV exposure (takes VERY little to justify the expenditure involved), however, makes it seem like a waste.
