Evidently you missed the point. It is a federal mandated safety requirement. Just like the reflective tape on commercial vehicles.

Strangely enough, in previous years I thought Corvettes looked best in Black or dark red, but so far I like the bright red C7 best.

Basically the same split.. except to scale. The Camaro is a tank in comparison.

I've been saying this all along.
But the other day I was driving and saw a Black Camaro from the rear about 100 yards away in a parking lot and for a second I was like is that a C7?
Then I was like, "O" its a Camaro.
The current Camaro is still a Eye catcher even if its not what I would buy.
Thanks for pics OP

I like this one better than the one I posted.
It really illustrates the differences.

Funny story...I took my wife's car to the dealer for service a few weeks ago. I was walking around the lot and the dealer had a '12 ZL1 Camaro and a '10 Z06 in their used car section parked next to each other. As you said...the Camaro looked like a damn SUV parked next to the Corvette.

Yep, that's so true! Remember that picture of that
C7 mule parked alongside the Camaro, a few months ago? That had
us all convinced that the C7 would weigh in at 3000 lbs.

I think the Gen 5 Camaro is a tank compared to pretty much virtually anything that's not a full sized SUV personally.

Ever see a Gen 4 F body next to a Fatmaro? Nothing quite highlights just how obese the Gen 5 is, than parking it's predecessor right next to it.

The C7 looks like a friggin sex machine next to the Fatmaro. It's sleek, chisled, styled aggressively... while the Camaro.......it's a tank. Serviceable, Safe, Neo Retro Garbage.

I think the question to ask is what does the 2015 Camaro look like? http://www.camaroperformers.com/conc.../photo_01.htmlthis picture may FREEK YOU OLD FARTS OUT

O MY GOD IT HAS CORVETTE WHEELS
...and a Malibu front grill

I really like this car in black. Sinister is the word that comes to mind, but I would not go with the black wheels. I would black out the reflectors on the back and on the wheel wells. Really the only thing about this design that I would like to see different are the rear quarter windows. I think it would look better if it were just body panel there, but it's not a deal breaker by any means.

They did, lawman. Here's your "similar:"

Now you are not the only one so I cannot tell you what your eyes see, but after looking at this I can barely see even a remote similarity. To me, there is far more similarity, say, between the "cheap" Boxster's rear and the pricey 911's...or the family resemblance across MB's and BMW's model lines...

Blue, Torch red, or yellow for me. The black looks good. I'm just not a black owner. The dust and micro scratches would drive me crazy.

My opinion on the back end of the car is that the tail lights are about the only thing they did right. The rear spoiler is cool too. That lower valance panel is not good. I predict you'll see some aftermarket CF and fiberglass designs out soon. Unfortunately, you can't do much about the straight line (boring) between the lower valance and the upper portion without replacing the whole piece.

We have a small cadre in here of self-appointed negativity police. Like most extremists, there are not many but they make a lot of noise and are very active in pouncing on every thread.

Eventually, they'll realize that many do not like the new car (which happens to every car) and will get on with life and their C7 purchase.

Looks like the cars have made it to a hotel in Palm Springs from these pics - so they are en route to L.A. / petersen. I think it is in really poor taste for GM to be parading cars around with parts missing. Definitely unprofessional and un-prepared. Wierd.

Nothing looks as good as black when clean IMO, like in an auto show. Unfortunately black stays clean for just a few minutes

Even at the auto shows they constantly have to wipe black cars down down... and that's indoors!

You can check with your MD. Sometimes you get reactions like that when prescription medicines clash with each other...
