Ahh my old thread...

I think the new 458 Speciale is spectacular - much nicer than the "base" 458

Back end is clean and looks bad ***

Good news is that there is now definitely a widebody C7 coming for the hi-po version. This gives GM a chance to offer an alternative to the Stingray rear end "design". Hey if Ferrari can do it so can Chevy.

Also they have a vent that organically works with the shape. No mascara triangles at the corners.

...All anyone has to do is look at the C7R, it's obvious the rear end is not changing.

I sure hope GM doesn't take a step backwards in styling to appease the minority that want round taillights (or more C6-like changes). Especially when many of them are likely base C6 or GS owners that are never going to spend the C&D-estimated $100k for the Z-model.

True, but it doesn't mean they can't still be locked if the rejuvenating them serves no purpose, especially when they played out long ago

Bottom line, if what the OP said when he started this thread back on March 3, 2013, "Saw it in person - rear still not working for me" by now one should have made the decision not to buy one
