Default Hendrick Chevy in Buford, GA

Hi, All. First post although I have been lurking for awhile.

I have wanted a Vette since I was 9 and am finally in a position to get one. The C7 is HOT!

I live in the Atlanta area and would most likely go to Rick Hendrick Chevy in Buford, GA to get mine.

Does anyone here know anything about the dealership? Good guys? Knowledgeable sales guys? Service guys?

Thanks in advance!

In fact, they have a specific person assigned for forum forum members , sadly, I cannot think of his name. Otoh, my first preference would be Mike Furman at Crisswell. Mike is extremely active on the forum. What a great way to break in a new car. Drive back to Atlanta via Deals Gap.

I wouldn't buy a stick of gum from a Hendrick dealership.

Is there a reason, or do you just not like Rick Hendrick?

Dude, you'd better be able to back up that statement with facts. Dissing a forum vendor or for that matter, any member is a no no!

Not personally familiar with the Hendrick Auto Group.

However, I find it interesting and satisfying reading when a Forum Vendor posts info about their dealership, buying experiences, delivery experiences, inventory, pricing, etc. on the Forum. I can not remember such info ever being posted by a Hendrick Chevrolet dealer. They most certainly could have, but it doesn't stand out in my mind like other threads from other C.F. Vendors. IF they are cruising here on C.F., here is a great opportunity for them to strut their stuff.

With all that said, you should consider a seach of "Criswell-Mike Furman" on the C6 General discussion. He posts photos and delivery accounts of many of his sales.....DAILY. Criswell is the third largest Corvette dealer in the USA, and delivers nationwide. The positive customer feedback on Mike Furman at Criswell, by my recollection, has been 100% hit it out of the ballpark......both in delivery experience and price.

Furman just doesn't sell Corvettes, he cultivates life long friendships. That is just the way he is.

Due diligence always pays off......

The Hendrick Chevrolet dealership in Buford GA, that the OP is speaking of, is also a Forum vendor. Hendrick has several dealerships throughout NC. SC. and GA. The Buford and Duluth GA. Chevrolet dealerships combined, are among the largest volume Corvette dealerships in the nation.

I purchased my 2012 Coupe from the Buford dealership in October. Aaron Kniffon was the salesman. I made this purchase over the phone and mostly dealt with Steve, the new car manager. Dealt very well with the rebates, discount and more money for my trade than anywhere else. Plus they delivered my car at no extra cost and picked up my trade in 375 miles away. I would definetly deal with them again!

You are correct. I missed the second one in the list of forum dealers.

If you want to buy gum I'd recommend Quik Trip
If you want to buy a C7 I'd recommend Hendricks.
They have dedicated Corvette sales team at the Duluth location with excellent trained staff and also great service faciltys.
If your in Atlanta you can choice from 2 location, Buford and Duluth, and would recommend them. Bought my Corvette and Camaro from the Duluth location.

Why are they scared over anyone else. A dealership is a dealership
in it too make money. They step on toes, find one that has not.
Just because they might support this forum or a car club does not
mean they are flawless. And given a get out jail free card like
the POTUS. Why need facts, they just may not like the place.

Thank you for all the feedback - I do appreciate it!

Interesting to see a couple of statements about the Duluth dealership. I have been to the one in Buford to test drive the C6. Always thought they had a larger selection of cars. But, am excited to see that one poster recommended them for servicing a Corvette.

I want someone who KNOWS what they are doing under the hood.

One more question for all the knowledge folks on here: who in the Atlanta metro area should I take it to for a clear bra? That's the first thing I want to do after getting it.

Thanks again!

Look up Atlanta Protective Films...I don't want to post all of his info on here because I don't think he is a sponsor. My personal thought is that you can't go wrong with him. He does cars that are well above triple corvette $$$
