Wow. Considering no likely discounts for a year, they are really pricing the C7 to move leftover C6s.

Wow. If that's true, it's too high to meet the production volumes they're looking for.

IMO.

If this is true, it's kind of what I expected. They were selling more grand sports than base cars (though not by too much) so I thought they might just target the grand sport price.

Of course, this says "average" so you may be able to get a base car sans options in the $50k range. Options get 'spensive.

Maybe fully loaded w/Z51 option? I don't think that will be the price IMO. It's to high for the market that they are trying to go after. Yes, if you price out a fully loaded C6 you can get there but not a base C7. I will go on record here!!

I could see that being the price of an optioned out Z51, but yeah there's no actual info on their site.

$70k is a F-ing joke.

I bought a brand new C6 for $39.9.
GM needs to keep the actual selling price near there if they want them to sell any to people that have some sense.

49,600 is the MSRP for a base C6 in 2013. I think that'd have to be the metric to measure C7 pricing against.

Until GM announces pricing, why is everyone getting worked up based on a rumour? Maybe it's that high... maybe not. I guess that while we all wait for the real pricing, at least we have something else to speculate on and debate

Agreed.
You are right.

The only reason I stated my purchase price was to show the disparity.
