This is not surprising.

Many new hot cars initially sit on some dealers showrooms with $30K "fair market adjustments" on them when they come out.

Guaranteed someone will pay it.

Obviously, most others will shop better deals or wait for them when the "market adjusts" back down.

This was really hard for me to read. For the love of god. Please proofread before you submit a posting. I am lost here.

I imagine that's what the sales manager was trying to do. But that's a pretty shady way to attempt it. But, to them it's all about "sell what you can see, don't see what you can sell".

But all I can say, is that if I'm at a Corvette show, and someone says, "Yep, this is one of the first ones off the line. Paid $100,000 for it." I'm simply going to turn and walk away, shaking my head.

Actually that isn't a factual statement. They aren't any different than any other cars on the market. Just look at the data and it is perfectly obvious to see the myth of the so called quality edge of certain manufacturers.

Ah, but keep in mind, there have only been six 'first year' Corvettes, and this is the seventh. Now, just take a look at the exponential growth of technology in the past nine years, coupled with the fact that GM put over $130 million into the Bowling Green plant. Now, factor in the time they had to work on this thing. I think those 'bugs' will be at a very low minimum, comparitively speaking.

I had two first year C5s. They had zero problems - which is more than I can say for my 2008. But then again, I'm sure you are not looking to confuse a good story with facts
