went to tomball parkway yesterday to price a new c6 Grand sport and the female sales manager told me they are going to sell the new corvette c7 for 100,000.00 with orders taken allready are we that desperate for the new vette that we would let someone charge us 30 to 40 thousand over what the car is worth just to say I have a new c7 ,that means for every new c7 they sell someone got what a new truck cost fully loaded. And she was so smug about it all I can say is wow.

This is not surprising.
Many new hot cars initially sit on some dealers showrooms with $30K "fair market adjustments" on them when they come out.
Guaranteed someone will pay it.
Obviously, most others will shop better deals or wait for them when the "market adjusts" back down.

But all I can say, is that if I'm at a Corvette show, and someone says, "Yep, this is one of the first ones off the line. Paid $100,000 for it." I'm simply going to turn and walk away, shaking my head.

Ah, but keep in mind, there have only been six 'first year' Corvettes, and this is the seventh. Now, just take a look at the exponential growth of technology in the past nine years, coupled with the fact that GM put over $130 million into the Bowling Green plant. Now, factor in the time they had to work on this thing. I think those 'bugs' will be at a very low minimum, comparitively speaking.
