You know was up wit d wheel gap?
Been noticing this now on the show cars.
I think this car was originally spec'd out for 20F/21R and GM decided that was just to much of a gud thing?

I want so much to love this car, but pictures are just not doing it for me. I don't hate it, but the rear just does not flow for me. The spoiler looks tacked on, the tear drop vents, angular lights and the bumper chopped in half all seem to contradict a sleek rear. If the spoiler was integrated and tear drop vents were gone, I think it might work for me. I still hope I feel differently when I see it in person. This in no way a bash, and I know there are many who love it just the way it is. I guess I am just an old fart at age 41!

similar to the non widebody c6, the flare cuts across the well and closes the gap alot.

Because just went outside to the garage to measure the C6 & C5 verts, and that's about what I've got now.

Where did this take place? A retirement home complex?

Wheel diameter doesn't have a direct effect on tire to fender gap. Tire diameter does. In fact, on the C7, the 20" wheels on the rear of the Z51 cars have a larger tire/fender gap then the non Z51's cars with 19" diameter rear wheels.

IIRC part of the wheel gap is due to a GM requirement that all cars be able to fit chains. I think there may have been an exception granted for the ZR1.

I was very favorably impressed seeing it in person. Pictures do not do it justice. The rear is really very well designed for the whole car's design.
I don't like the instrument panel in front of the driver. the surface has many intersecting compound curves and elements in all planes. Very overdone, even "tortured". It ruins the carbon fiber aspect of the panel.
Otherwise, very nice.

Lol, it would be better with a lower, squared up camera angle but yeah if that is a 20" wheel then the gap is 2.3-2.8 inches - very roughly.

Looks like a miscue to me having the seat backs dark black while the rest of the interior black looks in contrast to be a very dark gray. But that may just be the lighting?
