Default Camera front & rear!?

How about a mod for the camera!?

In the pics, I've seen of the rear facing camera it looks like the lens is small!

Would it be possible to put one under the front bumper, put some kind of splitter & switch back & forth as needed?

Read a post about camera forward facing for parking!

I have lightly scraped the front bumper a couple times!

A camera with proximity radar audio warning is best for the rear end. But since you can see good out the front, just not low, the camera is probably not necessary. I suggest you look into "auto front proximity radar" after market mods. Here is one source, no doubt many more out there.

Front /back switch would make sense. After all the rear unit is already installed. I almost bitched up my C6 a few times, got lucky, missed by less than an inch.

That is what I was thinking! Don't know how hard it would be to go to parts dept, get a camera & cable & install with switch!!

Maybe good idea for the after marketers!!

The camera in my wife's new ATS is flat AMAZING. It shows what's behind and has dashed line that curve when the wheels turn so you know the path the car will be traveling.

A front camera so I can watch as I hit the concrete bump stop.

For the love of god people, it needs less weight and less BS!
Do you all want a Vette or a Town Car?

Weight ? With the advent of miniaturization, the cameras are quite small, very light weight. Back up cameras are coming to all vehicles, like it or not. Along with a lot of other electronic enhancements it seems. Thus, one must adapt or be left behind. The best example is to look at those that did not make it on board the worlds first know cruise ship ........ Noah's Arc.

I don't think the "average" corvette buyer is concerned with weight to the extreme!

Most folks are going to use these as DD or garage queens!!

Out of the vette owners that I know I know of none that track their cars!!

Do town cars have back up cameras? Oh.never mind..

I love the back up camera in my other car and I am looking "forward" to seeing backward when I put it in my garage...

Wouldn't even need a front camera really. Just a few ultrasonic detectors built into the front bumper somewhere. I'm guessing the weight would be a few ounces.

I think the inside through to the underside of one of the "fangs" would be a great place to put a front-facing camera. If it is as wide angle as the rear camera, you could easily see any curb coming up.
