2014 Stingray Coupe and Convertible Allocations!
This morning Chevrolet issued an administrative message with all of the requirements for a qualified (based on 2012 calendar year sales) Chevrolet Corvette Stingray dealer.
The correspondence included key information for qualified dealers:
1) Dealer requirements
2) Allocation guide for the 2014 Corvette Stingray Coupe and Convertible
3) Electronic allocation and registration process
4) Next steps including required sales and service training and essential tools required
It appears that the reason dealers did not receive a letter with their allocations a few days ago is because of the requirements outlined in the administrative message. Dealers now have to opt-in and acknowledge electronically the requirements to receive their allocations.
Every qualified dealer can now register and view their allocations.
Have a great day,
Ken Fichtner

Ken ought to get additional allocations for the service and goodwill he's provided to Corvette enthusiasts here on corvetteforum for years now. He is usually the first to pass along reliable and accurate information. He's ways been candid and accessible to any of us needing answers to questions. He is an exemplary Chevrolet dealer and GM should recognize and reward his service.

I talked to my local dealer to ensure he was getting enough allocations to cover me at 3rd in line and he was.
I then asked what additional training was required and he said they had to send one of their techs to some place in Nevada, I then replied not Spring Mountain, he brought up the info on the computer and said yes thats the place.
So for the techs that have to under go that horrible indoctrination, stay away from the houses of ill repute and don't get too excited on the track. What a place to have training.

Thank you so much for keeping us informed Ken.
I am #1 on my local dealers pay no mind list.
The second I signed the credit card receipt the sales manager said "ya, some guys are going to ask 10K over MSRP, I'm only going to ask 5".
Me thinks I'll be testing the "refundable" clause...
