Notice the see-sawing the driver is doing with the steering wheel. I don't have that much play in my 56, but I worked hard to get high center on the steering gear when driving straight ahead.

I have driven a C1, although an icon, it was without a doubt the most cramped knee pounding car I've ever driven, if you are close to 6' , you are a giant for this car.

Don't really realize that until you try climbing in and out of one. I bet the driving experience was interesting.

I used to drive my dad's '54 regularly when i was a teenager back in the late 80's early 90's. It was fun but a pain to turn sharp corners. That steering wheel was huge!

You are very welcome. Even though the car has evolved into something quite different today the core value and vision is still there. Corvette is now the oldest living GM model. Who would of thought back then that little white coupe would live on for more than 60 years and become such an iconic name for GM. Every time GM starts a new Generation Corvette the engineering team should be made to watch this clip.

Better stay laser focused, or he and Mrs America will take a dive in the pond at 25 mph!

All cars back in the day really had to be driven! Now they almost drive themselves not to mention all the computer Nanny's we have now to keep us from getting into trouble or doing something stupid. Can you imagine if you could have shown them "park assist" back then the engineers would have fallen out of there seats.

Thanks for the kind words guys. I have owned this car (1963 Z06) for 40 years. It has been my only "road" car, as well as "race" car, "Ski" car, "Family" car etc, depending on which decade you are referring to. I have Vintage raced it since the (support race for) the Dallas GP (F1) in 1984. I have been invited to Monterey three times including the August 2013 event this year. I look forward to seeing some of you there this year
